Almost 70 percent of Denmark’s parishes have said ‘no thanks’ to a proposal by their bishops to ring their church bells in connection with a Climate Service at Copenhagen Cathedral, according to a survey carried out by Kristeligt Dagblad.
“Christians should have views, but the national church as an institution should not. If we bring God into this issue we end up with a crusade against those who disagree,” says Parish Priest Torben Bramming of the Ribe Diocese.
