Chinese censors have banned a Danish play as a result of its use of the word ‘wog’ and the use of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s assertion that the 9-11 attack on the World Trade Centre was the greatest and most ultimate work of art of all time.

The Wonder, by Danish playwright Christian Lollike, was to have been part of a nine-work anthology of Danish plays designed to create awareness of Danish theatre in China. The works had already been translated into Chinese and an agreement with the Chinese publishers was in place.
