Insurance companies are expecting Christmas Eve 2009 to end up with the worst ever statistics for break-ins, with almost half of Danish homes empty for the evening and the number of burglaries so far this year having rocketed.
The Insurance Information service tells JydskeVestkysten that at least 475 homes are expected to suffer an unwelcome visit, judging from statistics over the past year and compared with a ‘normal’ day in which 120 burglaries take place.
