Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen says he was close to throwing in the towel when a lengthy controversy surrounding vouchers during his tenure as County Mayor came to the fore in 2008.
“I thought that I should perhaps do something else,” Løkke Rasmussen told a DR programme about the events of 2009, adding that he was ‘very,very close’ to taking the decision.
