Two Danes missing in Haiti

There are at least six Danes in Haiti according to the Danish Foreign Ministry, which has been in contact with a four-person group including the author Jørgen Leth. The ministry has so far been unable to reach two others known to be in the country.

“We are continuing our efforts to determine how many Danes there are in Haiti and whether they are safe. But the problem is that the earthquake has also destroyed telephone lines so we have been unable to contact our consulate,” Inge Durant of the Foreign Ministry tells Ritzau.
