The government’s Canine Committee wants to ban 14 breeds of so-called ‘muscle dogs’, preventing their import to or breeding in the country in an effort to phase them out, according to Jyllands-Posten.
The committee suggests that in order to prevent breeding, existing animals should be sterilised. According to the report, the committee was unable to agree on a single recommendation and therefore determined that existing dangerous dogs should be muzzled and kept on a leash when out walking.
