Parliamentary question time today resulted in a battle of recriminations between the government and opposition over hospital layoffs in the country’s regions, with the prime minister offering to take over hospital management from the regions.
“I would like to make it clear. This is not a reasonable way to do things. Planning has not been good enough. Budget management has not been good enough when you have to lay off people like this. It’s bad planning,” the prime minister said during question time.
