A skier reported by the valdinet.com website to have died in an avalanche in the Val d’Isère on Monday was Swedish and not Danish according to SOS International.
The unnamed skier, who was in the 30s, had been skiing off piste with eight others and an instructor at 2,700 metres on the western slopes of the Grand Vallon when the avalanche occurred.
