The Anti-.gang Unit of the Copenhagen Police Force has provided figures for 2009 gang-related crime showing that there were six murders and 34 attempted murders.
2009 also saw 121 people remanded in custody. Twenty-eight cases have been concluded with sentences for either weapons or narcotics offences. Fifty-eight people are still in custody on charges ranging from murder, attempted murder, violence , weapons or narcotics crimes or extortion. A further 24 have been released but remain under charge, while charges against 10 people have been dropped.
