Unions: Moderation in wage demands

In an unusual move, the Danish Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) is reducing its wage increase expectations for more than half a million privately employed members. The signals from LO come prior to talks this weekend about next year’s collective agreement for industrial workers, according to Berlingske Tidende.

Due to the effects of the financial crisis Danes cannot expect major wage increases, says LO Chairman Harald Børsting.
