Chester City Football Club, which is under threat of expulsion from the Football Conference in Birmingham on Thursday, may have found its saviour – a group of some 500 Danish fans who are prepared to buy the club for one pound Sterling.
The Danish group of fans, which has asked for a postponement of Thursday's Football Conference meeting in order to study Chester's books in a due diligence process, will be negotiating with the club this weekend to see whether a purchase is possible.
