The Danish Construction Association (Dansk Byggeri) is demanding an overhaul of construction and safety requirements for roofing following the collapse under heavy snow of some 100 roofs this winter.
Most of the accidents involving collapsed roofing have taken place in Northern Jutland where agricultural and industrial buildings have been particularly badly affected by heavy snow.
