A Danish woman deported to America to face narcotics charges, but who was ordered released due to the Statute of Limitations, may end up being detained by the U.S. Immigration Authority as she spent her time in a U.S. jail without a U.S. residence permit.
Camilla Broe was extradited to the United States, as the first Danish person to be deported to a non-EU country, to face allegations that she was one of the leaders of a drugs smuggling operation which imported some 100,000 Ecstasy pills from the Netherlands to Florida at the end of the 1990s.
