Denmark’s Development Aid Minister Søren Pind will continue the country’s aid to Iraq when the current appropriation ends at the end of 2010, but in a more targeted manner.
Danish aid to Iraq hitherto has amounted to DKK 479 million. The next appropriation is expected to be a DKK 75 million grant over three years, particularly targeted at human rights improvement, developing an independent civilian legal system and combating corruption.
