Last year was a bad year for one of Denmark industrial giants the Danfoss Group, which returned a loss before tax of DKK 1.7 billion in 2009.
“In order to offset this development, the company introduced a heavy adjustment of cost levels in all sections of the business. Activities involved, among other things, divestment of a minor business area, factory closures and a reduction in the number of employees,” Danfoss says.
