Bosnian war criminal still in Denmark

A Bosnian who should have been deported from Denmark 10 years ago after serving an 8-year sentence for war crimes has remained in Denmark incognito since his release, despite conditions in Bosnia permitting his deportation.

Denmark’s Supreme Court sentenced Refic Saric to eight years in prison in 1995 for war crimes committed at the Croatian prison camp Dretelj in 1993 where he was responsible for beating other Bosnians. He was released from Danish prison at the turn of the millennium but has remained in Denmark, according to Jyllands-Posten.
