A volcanic cloud from the recent volcanic eruption in Iceland has already reached Danish airspace in the North Sea and is expected to reach mainland Denmark this evening, causing flight delays and some cancellations on certain routes.
A second Eyjafjallajökull sub-glacial eruption in Iceland took place yesterday, causing the evacuation of some 700 people. The ash cloud the eruption caused has already closed airports in Scotland, Norway and some parts of Britain. It was the second eruption in less than a month and the first time Eyjafjallajökull has experienced an eruption since 1821.
