Transport Minister Hans Christian Schmidt has fired the entire board of Rail Net Denmark, the state-owned enterprise that runs the 2,323 kms of tracks, signals and safety systems of the national railway network, according to Berlingske Tidende.

At the same time, Schmidt will be presenting a Bill next week that abolishes Rail Net Denmark as an independent unit with its own board, placing it instead directly under the Ministry for Transport.
