The Scandinavian carrier SAS has announced it will no longer pay hotel costs for passengers stranded as a result of the Icelandic ash cloud, in a move the Civil Aviation Authority says is illegal.
SAS claims the move, targeted at overseas passengers is fully in keeping with European legislation, while the CAA says no.
