Although Foreign Minister and Conservative Party Leader Lene Espersen has now met US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, her controversial decision not to meet Clinton for a foreign ministers Arctic-5 meeting at the end of March, and to go on holiday instead, appears to have given a clear reaction in the electorate.

According to the latest Megafon poll for Politiken and TV2, support for the Conservatives has dropped from 11.2 percent to 8.5 percent in a single month. The Conservatives polled 10.4 percent at the last election in November 2007.
