The Danish prime minister’s office has blamed a lack of confidence between the Danish chair of the COP15 summit and the United Nations system for the failure of the United Nations Environment Summit in Copenhagen last December.
A confidential memo from the Prime Minister’s Office says: “The necessary level of confidence between the UNFCC Secretariat and the Danish COP delegation had not been built up”. Politiken is in possession of a copy of the memo.
