One of Denmark’s best-known professional golfers - Søren Hansen – has been found guilty of tax evasion and ordered to pay DKK 8 million in backtaxes and DKK 8 million in fines.
The decision by the Copenhagen Municipal Court comes a year after Hansen was charged with tax evasion. He was charged of having avoided Danish taxes between 2000-2006 when the Fraud Squad said he was officially domiciled in Monaco, but in fact lived in his summerhouse in Hornbæk, one of Denmark’s most fashionable summer locations.
