The main European markets tumbled across the board today as the euro, hammered by the Greek economic crisis and other worries, hit its lowest level for a year.
The main European benchmark markets dropped sharply with the British FTSE and German DAX closing down 2.6 percent, France’s CAC40 closing down 3.6 percent, and with some analysts forecasting the euro may drop below the 1.30 barrier to the dollar.
