The finance minister has been complaining in no uncertain terms about local councils who have spent more than budgeted for – but his own ministry went above budget in 2009.
According to a study by A4 of the Finance Ministry’s database and accounts for individual ministries, 11 out of the 19 ministries spent a total of DKK 61.7 million above budget in 2009.
