Govt. wavers on austerity plan

The Liberal-Conservative minority government and the Danish People’s Party appear to be concerned at public reactions to some of its austerity measures and are reported to have reopened negotiations on child benefits.

According to TV2News the parties to the austerity package are to reopen discussions on a ceiling of DKK 30,000 to be placed on the amount given to families with children. The ceiling would affect all families with more than two children.
