Some 1,500 new companies opened for business in May, but the number of bankruptcies is still at record levels, according to the latest analysis from the Experian credit rating group.
The newstarts were an increase of 11 percent on May 2009. Nonetheless, over the first five months of 2010 newstarts were four percent lower than in the same period last year.
