Århus Council has announced it has given sanctuary to a 27-year-old Zimbabwean author that the Gyldendal publishing house and the International Cities of Refuge Network (ICORN) has designated as being in dire need of protection.

“I am gratified that Århus can provide refuge for a persecuted author. We have taken a big step in efforts to ensure improved conditions for freedom of speech,” says Århus Culture Counsellor Marc Perera Christensen (Cons.).
