The Finback whale that beached itself in Vejle Fjord a week ago died on Sunday and has now been retrieved into Vejle Harbour where it is to be cut up and the skeleton removed.
It remains unclear, however, where the skeleton will eventually be exhibited as Vejle Mayor Arne Sigtenbjerggaard says he would like the skeleton to be displayed in Vejle as a tourist attraction, rather than at Copenhagen’s Zoological Museum.
