A normal August gives some 60-65 mm of rain – today however the capital island can expect to be drenched with between 30 – 50 mm of rain accompanied in places by thunder.
“We’re looking at about half of the month’s rainfall within six to seven hours,” says Met Office Duty Meteorologist Mogens Rønnebek.
