A majority in the Danish Parliament is looking to make it illegal and punishable by fines or imprisonment to purchase moonlighters for cleaning jobs, car repairs , building tasks or other jobs.

“Those who use moonlighters create an environment for crime, so we must make it punishable by law,” Danish People’s Party Tax Spokesman Mikkel Dencker tells Jyllands-Posten.
