Vestas, one of the world’s biggest wind energy producers, has won a giant order to deliver 140 turbines to Australia for the southern hemisphere’s biggest wind turbine power station, according to a Vestas Stock Exchange Announcement.
The contract, signed in Melbourne on Thursday morning local time, is with AGL Energy Limited and Meridian and is part of the Macarthur project. The Macarthur power station will have a capacity of some 420MW.
