Finance Minister Claus Hjort Frederiksen, who presented his budget proposal today, says that growth has improved in recent months compared to the government’s estimates in May, and that a moderate international recovery has benefited Danish exports and the economy.
“The growth scenario has changed in recent months. Growth in the United States has dropped, but growth in Germany, Sweden and Great Britain has been surprisingly strong in the first six months. Progress in Denmark has therefore been greater than we forecast in May,” Claus Hjort Frederiksen says.
