Heavy winds and giant waves are making maritime travel in Danish waters somewhat difficult in August.

Ferries between Hirtshals in northwest Jutland and Kristianssand in southern Norway have been cancelled this morning because of gale force winds and the Villum Clausen high-speed ferry to Bornholm has also remained in port.
