A group of fishermen from Gilleleje in North Zealand have reported Greenpeace to the police for illegal entry, after the environmental organisation surreptitiously installed GPS equipment on their trawlers in order to uncover illegal cod fishing.
According to allegations from Greenpeace, the exercise proved that Danish fishermen from the port regularly contravene a fishing ban in a reserved area of the Kattegat, where the Kattegat cod spawns.
