The Social Democratic Party is calling for a rapid downscaling of Denmark’s military operations in Helmand Province in Afghanistan in 2011.

“We want both a reduction in the number of soldiers and a redefinition of their tasks so that we no longer take part in battle operations,” SDP Foreign Policy Spokesman Mogens Lykketoft says in a policy Chronicle article on Politiken’s OPED pages.
