As the first country in the EU to do so, Denmark banned the use of Bisphenol A in baby bottles and baby food packaging products from March this year.
Bishpenol A is an industrial chemical which, among other uses, is used to make polycarbonate plastic and is suspected of causing neural and behavioural disorders in children up to three years of age. It has also been listed by the European Union as being under suspicion as a hormone-disrupting compound.
