A stateless Palestinian prisoner who escaped from Denmark during an exeat from prison has been deported from Syria back to Denmark.
Hassan Mohammad El-Souki, 32, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for his part in smuggling 45 kilograms of cocaine into Denmark. During a guarded exeat from prison to attend his mother’s funeral at the Muslim cemetery in the Copenhagen suburb of Brøndby.
