The Danish People’s Party is suggesting that restaurants should again be allowed to permit smoking in their premises, provided that the ventilation technology is in place and that proprietors can choose whether they wish to allow smoking or not.
“The smoking law has been a good one. No doubt about that. People have stopped smoking, smokers have become more considerate and ventilation has improved. In time, I hope that technological advances will mean that we will have even better ventilation so employees can work in premises and proprietors can decide themselves whether they want to be a smoking restaurant,” says Liselott Blixt (DPP).
