The Liberal Traffic Spokesman Kristian Pihl Lorentzen has proposed that from 2012 motorists should have to pay SKK 1,500 each year, or DKK 60 for a ten-day pass, to drive on the Danish motorway system. The Liberal Tax Spokesman Mads Rørvig is, however, against the idea of increasing motorists’ taxes.
"The Liberals do not support road usage duties from 2012. That would mean the double taxation of motorists who have already paid registration duty,” says Rørvig.
