Morten Olsen, who has been national football coach since 2000, has announced that he does not plan to renew his contract with the national side after the European Cup championships in 2012.
Olsen ended his football career as a player in 1989 with FC Köln at the age of 40, where he was also coach from 1993-1995. He was himself capped 102 times for the Danish national side. As coach and trainer he has also stood at the helm of the national team 103 times, with 55 victories, 29 draws and 19 defeats so far.
