Education Minister Tina Nedergaard (Lib) wants Chinese to be offered as part of the secondary school curriculum.
The proposal has the support of the Danish Confederation of Industries (DI), Local Government Denmark and the opposition, all of whom suggest Chinese should rank alongside German and French as a secondary school finals matriculation subject.
