Several thousand women who have undergone breast cancer checks at a clinic in Amager, may have been checked using faulty equipment and thus risk having been diagnosed wrongly.
As a result, capital health authorities are to contact 4,800 women who have been checked at the Røntgen- og Ultralydklinikken (X-ray and Ultrasound Clinic) on Amagerbrogade in Copenhagen since Jan.1, 2009, urging them to contact their doctor to determine whether a new check is required, according to Berlingske Tidende.
