When Danish troops leave Afghanistan they may find themselves being sent to Somalia, Sudan or other states in Africa according to Foreign Minister Lene Espersen, who has given her view of Danish foreign and security policy for the next decade.
“Africa must not be a safe haven for terrorism, as Afghanistan has been. So in the next decade we will strengthen our security policy involvement in Africa,” Espersen says.
