Senior bankers in Denmark are going to have to wait up to four years to receive large parts of their bonuses, and can lose bonus payments if bank results drop, according to Børsen.
“They will have to patiently wait for these funds for a period of up to four years after the bonus was calculated. And there are prerequisites on the bonus payments which mean that they can be axed,” says Tax Expert Anja Bech, a consultant with KPMG’s department for incentive payment.
