A majority of 47 percent asked in the most recent Megafon poll say they are against the idea of sending Danish troops to African countries such as Somalia or Sudan if asked to do so by NATO.

The poll, carried out for Politiken and TV2, comes following Foreign Minister Lene Espersen’s statements last week on Danish strategy over the next decade. She said that Denmark should be prepared to send land troops to Africa to prevent terrorists taking hold in failed states.
