Danish doctors say the country is facing an epidemic of bacterial pneumonia following a tenfold increase in the number of positive tests for mycoplasma pneumoniae.
“We have noted a major increase in numbers for some time, but now numbers have reached proportions that mean we should call it an epidemic,” says National Serum Institute Head of Department Kåre Mølbak MD.
