Opposition parties have called for an explanation from Justice Minister Lars Barfoed following politiken.dk’s release of radio communication between an on-site police commander and riot police during last year’s COP15 Climate Summit.
According to the Dec. 16, 2009 radio message, the senior officer calls on his units to make their batons ‘red hot’ in dealing with demonstrators and journalists, if the latter are among the crowd to be cleared.
