Heavy snowfall and drifting snow that have hit large parts of Denmark overnight and this morning are causing delays at Copenhagen Airport, where both domestic and international traffic is being delayed and in some cases cancelled.
“It is snowing and drifting so much that we can only have one runway working at a time. Normally we land on one runway and take off on another, but we are only able to use one runway for both at the moment,” says Copenhagen Airport Information Manager Søren Hedegaard, adding the situation is likely to continue for most of the day.
