Danes on holiday or travelling through Australia’s third largest city Brisbane should get away from the area as soon as possible, and those who had planned to travel to the Brisbane area should postpone their trip according to the Danish Consul in Brisbane Lars Kirk.
“My advice is that if you don’t absolutely have to go north or south in the area, go to the airport and get out. In the north in particular, the infrastructure has suffered and the level of service is not particularly high. If you were travelling on to New Zealand anyway, you could perhaps choose to go earlier,” Kirk says.
