Conservative chairmen in North Zealand, where Justice Minister Lars Barfoed is nominated, are openly calling for Foreign Minister Lene Espersen to step aside as party leader, according to Berlingske Tidende.
Several sources close to Barfoed have confirmed to the paper that Barfoed has made it clear that he is ready to take over the leadership of the party as soon as Espersen either steps down or is forced to do so.
